8/9: Billy Jones CD Release: Summit Coffee is pleased to announce the release of Billy Jones latest CD Time. Billy and various musical friends will celebrate the release of this latest effort with a CD Release party at Summit from 8-11 on Saturday, August 9th. Billy has been an integral part of the local music scene, at Summit and elsewhere, for the better part of the past decade. He pens relevant, thoughtful ballads and dedicates himself to teaching and performing music. Billy has been a great friend to Summit Coffee over the years, and we hope that many of you will come out to support his music. CDs will be available for sale.

8/16: SummitCares Benefit Concert: Summit Coffee will again play host to dozens of area musicians who will offer up 11 hours of live music on Saturday, August 16th. The concert is an effort to raise money for the Children's Art Project. Art projects will be ongoing throughout the day for children of all ages. Donations will be accepted and encouraged, and Summit wil donate 5% of their gross sales to the effort. Please drop by to support the generous musicians and the important mission of the Children's Art Project: "to cultivate a rich groundwork for the development of self-esteem, creative problem solving, interpersonal and academic skills in children through early and frequent exposure to the arts." 9/5: Monthly BeerTasting Party: Hosted by Summit's own Dave Beam and Brett Hecker, Summit will offer a ticketed beer tasting on the FIRST FRIDAY of every month (starting on September 5th). These events feature samples of 8 outstanding beers. Tickets for the 9.5 beer-tasting go on sale on 8.18.

9/6: Kellin Watson: Summit Coffee welcomes back Asheville-native, Kallin Watson. Kellin will play a private, ticket-only show in the Summit upstairs; the upstairs bar wil be open for the show. Tickets are $10 and will go on sale on 8.18.
